• 2 February 2025:
1) Rules on general provisions, Articles 1 to 3.

3) Prohibited AI Practices, Article 5.
• 2 August 2025:
1) Obligations for Member States Articles 28 to 39.
2) Obligations for providers of general-purpose AI (GPAI), Articles 51 to 56.
3) EU Governance (as the AI Board, among others), Articles 64 to 70.
4) Confidentiality, Article 78.
5) Penalties and Administrative Fines, Articles 99 and 100.
• 2 August 2026: All Articles come into force, except Article 6.
• 2 August 2027:
1) Classification rules for High-Risk AI Systems, Article 6.
2) Providers of GPAI models placed on the market before 2 August 2025 must ensure compliance with the obligations.
