Article 4 of the EU AI Act “requires providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy of their staff and other persons dealing with AI systems on their behalf”.
This obligation became mandatory on 2 February 2025. If you are a provider or a deployer of AI Systems, please note that the AI Office is maintaining a living repository on “AI literacy practices, gathering further examples from organisations, and updating the Q&A”.
